It's gotta go back to basics
Take it all off, drop it all down
Quit the races
It's rooted in you; with pure intentions guidance is found
People after one another
Nit picking, thumb flicking, air stinking
It's an open mouth, in a drought
Trying to be replenished but you've got your thoughts caught with the devil
Trying to understand, truth in your effort reflects your stance
And it all goes back down to basics
Every question, every reply will come from simplicity , with a tear in your eye
It's really all that simple
But the devil takes his seat upon every lying victim
That's our social standing we're all caught up in the corrupt system
Morality lost , ethics comes last and our understanding of life and death is mismatched
Trying to balance this extreme perception
So even at our finest we're weakened in our own deception
We excuse our stagnation
Blame our inability to keep up with our natural inclination
Shame over shameless ...
Need I remind us
Social change remains a reflection
If we don't have it right inside it's gonna be tight outside
But we won't ever piece the puzzle
Until we realize the basics rule our lives
And if we just focus our energy on correcting and implementing truth will be clear and will easily turn away the stench of falsehood as it's fermenting
....... yah, there I go venting ..

On the authority of Aboo `Abdillaah an-Nu`maan the son of Basheer (radiAllaahu 'anhumaa), who said: I heard the Messenger of Allaah (sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam) say:
That which is lawful is clear and that which is unlawful is clear, and between the two of them are doubtful matters about which many people do not know. Thus he who avoids doubtful matters clears himself in regard to his religion and his honour, but he who falls into doubtful matters [eventually] falls into that which is unlawful, like the shepherd who pastures around a sanctuary, all but grazing therein. Truly every king has a sanctuary, and truly Allaah's sanctuary is His prohibitions. Truly in the body there is a morsel of flesh, which, if it be whole, all the body is whole, and which, if it is diseased, all of [the body] is diseased. Truly, it is the heart.
