In pursuit of happiness...

As I watch the world I see a trend, often it's not about trying to blend as some may see it. It seems to be a little more complex, a lil more believing. It's the " I " wondering how they can survive and what makes them more alive, looking for a path, a drive, but often just chasing an empty space within the walls of the world. It's not so much a rat race, it's more like an empty face, broken pace, a sorry waste ......... of time! And though yes this seems like nothing more than a rhyme it's actually meant to cause you to open at least one eye. It's almost as though as humanity we're sleep walking into what goes beyond vanity. It's what they call a "pursuit of happiness" , what exactly is this? This quest the entire world is obsessed with, not realizing at its best within you, it's passing this test.........this test called life. Fools may sing this is 'THE life', this is it! But hold on a minute, just think a bit. Would you consider this a cause to be created, to enjoy a life of everyone being hated, or evil needing to be abated. Surely this ain't it .. let it sit. Because if you seize to ask questions you'll remain a lost lesson. Rolling in the material you'll be void of the real, resulting in the loss of the very thing you desire most. Success at its best, at its finest, is happiness. Why fight it, when you can't honestly deny it.........find it, it's there, closer to you then you dare. Not too far off, just move a lil over, forgo the four leaf clover and turn a new leaf over. I told ya..........it's within you, if you want it ......... question is ....... do you?

Assalaamu'alaykum

"Not so much a rate race, it's more like an empty face, broken pace, a sorry waste..." Ah.. that really puts it into perspective because by calling a "rat race" we really don't know where to begin in terms of giving it direction.

May Allah grant us tawfiq and 'aafiyah, ameen!

I thought you were writing more frequently here... I guess not!

Assalamualaikum...

Very well said, mashaAllah. For most of us, it is a 'sorry waste' of time, unfortunately :(
